About FAFO

Ocala Magazine‘s BEST OF THE BEST 2013!

We won "HOTTEST TICKET IN TOWN" in Ocala Magazine's BEST OF THE BEST 2013!

Fine Arts for Ocala, Inc. (FAFO) formed in 1972 with the mission to promote the appreciation of the fine arts and to enhance art education in our community.  Forty years later the vision continues as the Ocala Arts Festival brings professional artists from across the country each October.

Over the years FAFO purchase awards have allowed the permanent collection to grow into a wonderful collection of outstanding art. The collection is shared with the community in the FAFO gallery and in public spaces as is the Children’s work purchased from the student exhibit area at the Ocala Arts Festival..  Hands-on art for children during the Festival encourages creativity and appreciation.  Symphony Under the Stars Mother’s Day concert is considered Ocala’s best cultural event for families.  The concert, performed by the Ocala Symphony Orchestra along with fireworks, picnics and fun has become a tradition. Proceeds from this event support the FAFO mission.

The FAFO Board consists of no more than 25 community minded volunteers.  These individuals, from a variety of backgrounds, work tirelessly throughout the year to bring the arts to our community in North Central Florida.
