Symphony Under The Stars
The Symphony Under the Stars, a night of musical entertainment
under the warm Florida skies, is a special Mother's Day celebration
each spring. FAFO brings the experience of live symphonic
music to many that have never had the opportunity to attend a
symphony performance before. This highly anticipated event
draws over 3,000 people to relax and enjoy a picnic dinner with
family and friends.
The symphony is an event for all ages with a delightful mixture of
classical and pop music performed by the Ocala Symphony Orchestra.
This year's program is FAFO Goes Hollywood . The concert
concludes with a breathtaking choreographed fireworks display
(weather permitting). Food and drink concessions as well as reserved
Adirondack style chairs are available from FAFO.
As part of the evening, FAFO offers an extraordinary silent auction
of art that is donated to FAFO by the fine artists that display at
the Ocala Arts Festival each year. There are wonderful pieces
and bidding is always exciting. Family entertainment such as
Symphony Under the Stars would not be possible without the hard work
of many people and the gracious donations from local supporters of
the arts.
When: Mother's Day - Sunday, May 8th. Gates open at 6 and the
concert starts at 7
